Gay means homosexual. It is not seen as too offensive towards homosexuals as they use the term as well. However, gay can now mean 'Bad' (e.g. "That's so gay.") or that something sucks. For this definition, the target doesn't even have to be remotely homosexual, and can range from music, films, tv shows etc. (technically anything can be called 'gay'.)
